Don't let a pet's age prevent you from adopting them! Senior pets have so much love to offer their owners. They are usually a bit more mellow, potty trained and yes....senior dogs can be taught new tricks.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I adopted an older Italian Greyhound. Bambi has fit right in with all my other animals.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great entry. I advocate against animal cruelty all the time. Senior pets are abandoned all too often, either someone doesn't want to foot the health care of an older animal, or they are no longer as playful as a pup to some people. They couldn't be more wrong! All they ever needed was someone to love them and they would love them in return, even more so. (Hugs)Indigo

ReplyDeleteyour pets are so cute!!! great entry on senior pets!! we've tended to go for puppies because of the kids, but I'm thinking with our next dog we will probably be in our 60s and a senior pet will be the right age for us as we won't be so spry to keep up with a puppy anymore; great reasons to have them too as you listed
