SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
EAGLE ROCK/HIGHLAND PARK AREA, TO HELP FIND:
Injured and lost blonde female Terrier/Poodle Mix - Medium sized - About 25 lbs.
REWARD: $2,500 to the person who finds her!
Sammy, a white Terrier/Poodle Mix dog was walking on a leash with her owner, Shelly.
When an unleashed pit bull attacked Sammy while at Eagle Rock Recreation Center in Eagle Rock, CA on Wednesday November 25, 2009 around 6:30pm.
Sammy (Sam) was bitten in the neck and hind quarter. Frighted Sammy ran away towards Figueroa.
Sam is usually very friendly, but might be shy and scared now that she is injured and lost.
In her attempt to get away from attacking pit bull, Sammy lost her collar. Sammy is microchipped with AVID FriendChip.
Sammy may be hiding nearby in the surrounding neighborhoods, and since she is injured... time is of the essence!
IF YOU CAN SPARE AN HOUR OR TWO, PLEASE HELP US FIND HER!
What can you do to help find Sammy?
You can help by posting some flyers, talking to people or just looking around the neighborhoods where Sammy was lost.
It would be a huge help! And we would be very grateful!
If you do not live in the area, but would like to help find Sammy. Please pass Sammy's info to your friends who might know someone who does live in the area or has seen Sammy.
Latest possible sightings:
Near Occidental College, Eagle Rock/Highland Park Sunday 11/29 at 8:00 am.
And prior in the neighborhoods near York & Figueroa in Highland Park.

We're on the other side of the country but we're crossing our fingers and paws for her safe return..
ReplyDelete12/7/09 - We've had sightings of our lost dog Sammy near San Pascual Stables in South Pasadena and also Occidental College in Highland Park/Eagle Rock (Zip codes 90041/90042) in the past week, but we still haven't found her. Please keep an eye out in South Pasadena, Highland Park & Eagle Rock.
ReplyDeleteIt is with great sadness that I post this update. Shelly found Sammy's body on the freeway. Reiki sent for Sammy's journey over the Rainbow Bridge and {{{HUGS}}} sent to her family.
