There's an amazing place in Tennessee that lucky elephants called "their forever home".
From The Elephant Sanctuary web site, "To provide a haven for old, sick or needy elephants in a setting of green pastures, dense forests, spring-fed ponds and heated barns for cold winter nights."
Sounds lovely!
This morning on CBS, they had a segment on Tarra and Bella, who are best friends.
Tarra is an 8,700 pound Asian elephant. And Bella, is a dog.

What a wonderful story! My niece, when she lived in Seattle, worked very hard to rescue one of their zoo elephants - I think her name was Bamboo - and get her released to this Sanctuary. I don't think they have succeeded yet but I think they are still trying. Thanks for the video.
